Secret Lair x Monster Hunter: The Monsters II was planned as the second installment of the original Monster Hunter crossover, featuring four iconic monsters reimagined within Magic: The Gathering. Like the rest of the Superdrop, it was postponed after Wizards of the Coast acknowledged that the initial release did not adequately integrate Monster Hunter’s world and mechanics. Because the planned collection was pulled before release and slated for a complete rework, this version became a notable piece of the collaboration’s development history.
