怪異学校 — Strange School reimagined the familiar school-manga setting as monochrome horror through artwork by five Japanese manga artists: IINUMA YUUKI, SHOWICHI FURUMI, HIRO USUDA, ARAMAKI MIYUKI, and KOHJI MATSUMOTO. The all-black release transformed ordinary academic life into unsettling scenes filled with strange discoveries, ominous rituals, and increasingly disturbing details. It also served as a darker companion to the earlier Mahō Gakuin Seishun Hakusho Secret Lair, creating a striking contrast between colorful school-life manga and black-and-white supernatural horror.
