Secret Lair x Marvel: True Believers in Love brought the melodramatic style of classic romance comics into the Marvel universe. Artwork by Sara Setty, Scott Okumura, James Bousema, and Gal Or reimagined Marvel’s stories of love and relationships through the exaggerated glances, emotional tension, and vintage cover aesthetic associated with romance comics. Its combination of Marvel characters and an unusual retro-romance presentation made it a distinctive collectible for fans of both comic-book history and Marvel.
